Two-hour Nut RollsRecipe Index: Breads/Pastries > Buns/Dessert Rolls6 cups flour 1 teaspoon salt 5 tablespoons sugar 1 cake household yeast 1/2 cup warm milk 1/2 pound oleo 3 eggs, beaten 1 cup sour cream NUT FILLING: 5 cups finely ground nuts 1-1/2 sticks butter 1 cup sugar 3 tablespoons vanilla Directions Dissolve yeast in milk. Combine flour, salt, sugar, eggs and oleo with sour cream. Add milk-yeast mixture and blend well. Divide dough into four parts. Roll out each part as for jellyroll. Combine the nuts, sugar, butter and vanilla. Spread dough with the nut filling. Roll up and place on greased cookie sheets. Cover and let rise one hour or until doubled i size. Bake 35-40 minutes at 350 degrees F. |
