Grilled TomatoesRecipe Index: Side Dishes > Vegetables4 to 5 medium tomatoes 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese Dried thyme Salt and freshly ground black pepper Directions 1. Preheat the broiler. 2. Slice the tomatoes in half horizontally. Place the halves, cut side up, on a broiling pan. Dot the surface of each half with butter, a sprinkling of Parmesan cheese, a pinch of thyme, and salt and pepper to taste. 3. Place under the broiler and broil until the tops are bubbly and golden brown, about 7 to 10 minutes. Serves 8 to 10 |
